In this visualization, you can view a scatter plot of percentage of recovered cases on the y-axis and the total number of confirmed cases on the x-axis. The circle sizes are proportional to the population of respective countries. The scatter plot is animated with respect to the number of days past since the 1000th confirmed case for each of the countries. The circles remain at their same positions if the number of days past since the 1000th case is lower than the maximum value for that statistic across all countries. The countries that are on the upper half of the plot have done a great job of controlling the initial outbreak. You can hover over each country's flags to see the line of progress for the country.
